Yearly Community Chalk Festival: Chalk-A-Block Returns for Its 2nd Edition
Get ready for a vibrant and creative day out as the Old Town North Arts & Cultural District hosts the 2nd Annual Chalk-A-Block on Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 11am to 3pm. This free event, open to all ages, promises a fantastic blend of chalk art, live music, and local artisans.
The sidewalks and parking lots of Old Town North will transform into vast canvases as chalk artists showcase their talents, creating mesmerising masterpieces that will captivate visitors of all ages.
When it comes to the musical lineup, The Okays, The Frontier, Alejandro Villareal, and Caroline Whitaker have been confirmed to perform live. The search results do not provide specific names of additional artists, but the event is sure to feature a variety of music to entertain everyone.
In addition to the chalk art and live music, local artisans and makers, organised by Made in ALX, will showcase their wares. From stained glass and stationery to jewelry, spices, baked goods, and more, there will be a wealth of unique products to explore and purchase.
For the creative spirits, designated areas will be set up for both kids and adults to create their own chalk art. And for those who enjoy a challenge, the Old Town North Tern's footprints will guide visitors on a scavenger hunt, with prizes up for grabs for those who complete it.
Partners helping to host this exciting event include Hotel AKA, west elm, AFBA/5Star, Salon deZEN, St. Elmo's Old Town North, Oak Steakhouse, MRP Realty, Bond Vet, Sheraton Suites, Royal Restaurant, Alexandria House, T.J. Stone's, Made in ALX, and Pat Miller.
