Wiesbaden's Annual Photography Festival, Scheduled for 2025
Prepare for a visual feast as the Wiesbaden Photo Days 2025, one of Germany's oldest continuously held photo festivals, returns from August 23rd to September 7th. This edition promises to be a captivating exploration of the theme "Future? What Future?!", with a diverse festival programme that includes guided tours, artist talks, films, a lecture, a panel discussion, and the Artist Dialogue Day.
The heart of the event will be seven main exhibitions, each dedicated to a specific theme, taking place at various venues across the city. These include Aktives Museum Spiegelgasse, Edu Forum in the Museum Wiesbaden, Frauen Museum Our Website, Galerie Rubrecht Contemporary, Kunsthaus Wiesbaden, Kunstverein Bellevue-Saal, Künstlerverein Walkmühle, Sam - Stadtmuseum am Markt, Galerie Büttner, Galerie Kornfeld, Galerie Klüver, Galerie Schürmann, Galerie Schürmann, and Sammlung Göhler.
The opening ceremony will kick off the festival on August 23rd at 7 PM at Künstlerverein Walkmühle, with the presentation of the "Jury Prize". Many participating artists have confirmed their attendance at this grand event.
The Artist Dialogue Day, dedicated to engaging in conversation with the artistic director and artists of the Wiesbaden Photo Days 2025, will take place on August 24th at the Kunstverein Bellevue-Saal, starting at 10 AM and concluding at 6 PM with a final get-together at the Künstlerverein Walkmühle.
Works by esteemed artists such as Tobias Kruse, Gosbert Gottmann, Maartje Martis, and others will be on display at the Kunstverein Bellevue Hall. The Art House will also feature an exhibition thematically linked to the festival theme.
