VinFast Launches Electric SUVs VF 6 & VF 7 in India, Offering Premium Safety & Tech
Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has launched its electric SUVs, VF 6 and VF 7, in India. Produced at its Thoothukudi facility, these SUVs aim to provide a premium smart experience, transforming EVs from eco gadgets into everyday companions.
The VF 6 and VF 7 boast extensive safety features, including Advanced Driver Assistance at Level 2, 360-degree surround view, and automatic emergency braking. They also offer a quick charge time of 25 minutes for a 60% boost, with certified ranges up to 532 km.
Inside, these SUVs feature a 12.9-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and multiple drive modes for enhanced comfort and connectivity. VinFast caters to Indian buyers' preferences, with 62% prioritising quality and features over price, and 88% willing to share personal data for improved connected services.
The Indian EV market is growing, with sales jumping 53% in the first half of 2025. Indian buyers are increasingly viewing EVs as tech-rich companions, with the in-car experience now ranking equally with range or charging time. This shift is reflected in the openness to switch brands, with 72% of buyers considering it, and a third citing technology and features as the key deciding factor.
