VdK marks the festival of the White Plume
On Sunday, September 21, the Ingolstadt North branch of the VdK association is set to host its third annual Federweißer Festival. This year, the event promises to be even more exciting as the Mailing-Feldkirchen branch of the VdK association will participate for the first time.
The festivities will kick off at 2 PM at the TSV Nord's guesthouse, where visitors can enjoy a day filled with Bavarian culture, food, and music.
Georg Huber leads the musical entertainment for the day, with his group D'Hoggableiba. The music will be a delightful mix of Bavarian folk music and Viennese songs, promising an authentic and lively atmosphere. The name of the music director of the group is not publicly available, but their talent is sure to be a highlight of the day.
Achim Werner will also be in attendance, sharing captivating stories about Federweißer and wine. For those unfamiliar, Federweißer is a young, slightly effervescent wine that is a staple of the autumn season in Bavaria.
But the surprises don't end there. Each visitor will receive a free glass of Federweißer and a piece of Zwiebelkuchen, a traditional Bavarian onion cake. This generous offering ensures that everyone can enjoy the authentic flavours of the region.
The Federweißer Festival is open to everyone, making it the perfect opportunity for a day out with friends and family. So, mark your calendars and get ready to immerse yourself in Bavarian tradition and music. We look forward to seeing you there!
