Sailing Course Vacations in 2024: Complementary Spots Offered for Summer Vacation
In an exciting development for young sailing enthusiasts, the Sailing Association Sinstorf e.V. has announced its participation in the Hamburg holiday pass in 2024. The association will be offering sailing courses for children aged 8 to 11 and for those aged 11 to 15 on the Newlander Baggersee in southern Hamburg.
The courses for the younger group will take place from Monday, August 12, to Friday, August 16, while the older group will sail from Monday, August 19, to Thursday, August 22. There are still free places available for these courses, so don't miss out on the opportunity to learn sailing in a fun and playful way.
For the young beginners, the sailing courses will utilise Optimist dinghies, which are ideal for learning the basics of sailing. The participation fee for these courses is 130 euros per child, but residents of the district can enjoy a discounted fee of 110 euros.
Outside of the holidays, the Sailing Association Sinstorf e.V. offers youth training on Thursdays and Saturdays for those who would like to sail but have other plans during the holidays. Participants must have secure swimming skills, at least the bronze swimming badge, to join the courses.
The sailing courses will start daily at 10 a.m. and end around 4 p.m., with lunch included for participants. Registration and further information can be found at svgs-hamburg.de/fp.
For more specific details about the courses, such as course dates, age groups, fees, and registration details, it is recommended to contact the association directly.
The Sailing Association Sinstorf e.V. also promotes an 'other lifestyle' of outdoor-living for those who appreciate home-and-garden activities that go beyond sailing. On regular training days, young participants can learn essential skills like knot-tying, boat maintenance, and even basic gardening, teaching them to cultivate a harmonious coexistence with nature.
