Revealed: Most Expensive Residence among Russian Artists Uncovered

In the heart of a secluded Moscow suburb, Russian artist Stas Mikhailov calls a spacious cottage home. This magnificent mansion, valued at approximately $12 million, boasts a prime location on the Novorizhskoe Highway.

The mansion, considered the most expensive among Russian artists, spans 580 square meters and is a testament to exquisite taste and opulence. Stas Mikhailov, the owner of the mansion, acquired the property while married to renowned designer Innna Kanchelsik, who was responsible for its design and decoration.

Upon entering the mansion, one is greeted by a spacious living room adorned with a fireplace-grill, perfect for cosy gatherings. The ground floor also houses the main entrance and a grand staircase, crafted from wrought iron, leading to the upper floors.

The second floor is dedicated to the bedrooms, each unique in its design. One bedroom, decorated in dark tones, offers a serene retreat. The master suite, however, boasts a more vibrant and inviting atmosphere, reflecting Mikhailov's vibrant personality.

The mansion's interior elements, including moldings and a Murano glass chandelier, were sourced from Italy, adding a touch of European elegance. The second floor also features a separate study for the artist, adorned with mirrored walls that reflect his numerous awards.

Stas Mikhailov often hosts friends and colleagues in the living room of his mansion, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The land alone in the suburb is valued at $1.85 million, further highlighting the mansion's exclusivity.

In addition to the mansion, Mikhailov owns a luxurious apartment in Moscow and villas in Montenegro, Italy, and Sochi. However, public records do not indicate any other property ownership by the artist, suggesting that his other holdings may be privately held and not publicly documented.

Despite the grandeur of his mansion, Mikhailov and his family reside in this secluded haven, finding comfort and inspiration in the tranquil surroundings. The mansion, a testament to Mikhailov's success and taste, continues to stand as a symbol of his artistic achievements and personal style.

The mansion's interior, sourced from various parts of Europe, seamlessly blends European elegance with a unique fashion-and-beauty aesthetic, thanks to the design skills of Innna Kanchelsik, Stas Mikhailov's former wife. Mikhailov, a celebrated artist with a keen sense of style, showcases his lifestyle preferences not only in his art but also in his home-and-garden choices, as evident in the well-manicured land surrounding his mansion in Moscow.
