As she expresses, "I don't have a crystal ball, but I'm looking ahead with anticipation, eager to tackle a fresh challenge" to the "South Kurier" of Konstanz, amplifying the significance of this change.

Her departure, announced on Tuesday, illuminates a space for fresh perspectives in the island's administration. Her brother, Björn Graf Bernadotte, will continue in his role as CEO, shoulder to shoulder with the new co-CEO.

"This decision is a powerful shift, not just professionally, but personally too. The emotions are running high because I'm indeed closing a chapter here," Bernadotte shares with the newspaper. "I've spent 25 delightful years on Mainau, and I'm brimming with curiosity to see what the future holds. We're poised to take Mainau to new heights now," she adds, ensuring a smooth transition by year-end.

Mainau, nestled on the majestic expanse of Lake Constance, stands as one of the most alluring vacation spots. Known as the "Isle of Flowers," it enchants more than a million visitors annually with its resplendent park and garden spaces, an elegant Baroque castle, a verdant palm house, and an airy butterfly house sprawled across its verdant 45 hectares.
