Repair Cafe scheduled for April 7th, 2025
The Lahnstein Youth Cultural Center (JUKZ) will convene a Repair Café on Monday, April 7th, welcoming visitors at 5:00 PM and concluded at 8:00 PM. Located within the JUKZ café, the Repair Café provides an inviting setting for enthusiastic volunteers with extensive repair knowledge in small electrical appliances to breathe new life into discarded items. The event acts as a considerable alternative to the disposable society, promoting sustainability.
Numerous small electrical appliances, such as kitchen devices, vacuum cleaners, and hi-fi systems, frequently end up being discarded, even though they may still be repairable. In the Repair Café, these appliances are given a second lease on life. Any devices no longer welcomed by commercial workshops are repaired during the event.
Aside from the repair services offered, the Repair Café acts as a social gathering place. Individuals of all age groups and nationalities come together. During the repair process, meaningful connections and friendships are often formed, and valuable learning opportunities are presented.
The Youth Cultural Center discourages the abandonment of electrical devices outside the door and urges that they be delivered directly to the event. Please note that the Repair Café usually takes place on the second Monday of the month, with the next scheduled session on Monday, May 12, 2025, and no prior registration is required.
For the latest and most accurate information, interested parties are advised to contact the Lahnstein Youth Cultural Center or consult their official website or social media channels for further details.
At the Lahnstein Youth Cultural Center's next Repair Café on May 12, 2025, attendees can engage in a lifestyle that supports sustainable living, by bringing their home-and-garden appliances to be repaired. The Repair Café, held on the second Monday of each month, offers a home-and-garden focused repair session alongside social interaction, fostering a community that practices sustainable living.
