A Fearless Explorer and Embracer of Novelty
The Bishop of the Evangelical Church in Baden, Heike Springhart, fearlessly delves into thrilling experiences, as she herself confesses. "I haven't dared more roller coaster than the water roller coaster Poseidon at Europa-Park," she admitted recently at an ecumenical service marking the 50th anniversary of the theme park in Rust, Baden-Württemberg. The water roller coaster Poseidon unites roller coaster rides with boat journeys.
"I'm not against stepping out of my comfort zone," she stated on the sidelines of the festival. "Life is about pushing boundaries." That's all about staying vital and finding joy in life. "I test the limits, and I learn what I can and can't do, and it's about growing beyond myself," she explained in Rust. She shared the occasion with the Archbishop of Freiburg, Stephan Burger.
Coloring Everyday Life
Springhart underlined her appreciation for theme parks. People, families, and circles of friends seek chances to explore something beyond their daily routines. "It's not about running away from life, but about adding a new hue to it," she said emphatically.
She recalls Europa-Park as a source of fond memories from her childhood and youth: "Many who keep returning here, and I'm one of them, acknowledge being kids again. I believe people yearn for that," she shared in Rust. Alongside the Archbishop of Freiburg, Stephan Burger, she led the ecumenical service.
Nurturing Community and Spiritual Growth
Europa-Park often becomes the stage for community events and spiritual gatherings, fostering connections and shared experiences among various groups. These events contribute to personal growth by promoting unity, reflection, and a sense of belonging, as Bishop Springhart can attest to. However, without specific statements from her, it's challenging to determine her exact perspective on the role of theme parks in personal growth and vitality.
"Bishop Springhart extends her adventures beyond the thrill of roller coasters to her lifestyle, nurturing a love for outdoor-living and home-and-garden, as seen in her fondness for theme parks like Europa-Park, which provide a delightful escape from the monotony of daily routines and offer an opportunity for spiritual growth and community bonding."
"Traversing the path of spiritual growth, Bishop Springhart embraces these community events and gatherings at theme parks like Europa-Park, where she experiences personal development by promoting unity, reflection, and a sense of belonging, with her lifestyle encompassing both extreme adventures and a deep appreciation for themes of home-and-garden and outdoor-living."
