Pablo Erroz laments the decline in allure of the fashion industry
Barcelona, Spain – Spanish fashion designer Pablo Erroz has once again captivated the fashion world with his latest collection showcased at a runway event in the city. The event, which attracted thirty media outlets from various countries and designers from around the globe, highlighted Erroz's versatility and innovative approach to fashion.
Erroz's collection features a harmonious blend of traditional Spanish influences and modern, multi-disciplinary design. One standout piece in the collection is a skirt made from Mallorca's ikat fabric, reflecting Erroz's interest in traditional textiles.
The graphic design on Erroz's t-shirts, hand-painted with a unique design, combines calligraphy and colour, while his new collection also includes a line of lamps and rugs, demonstrating his versatility beyond traditional fashion.
The collection showcases both light and structured silhouettes, including reversible leather jackets, as well as a pistachio yellow suit, violet, almond, whites, and blacks, textured garments with frayed fabric, knitwear with daring patterns, braids, houndstooth trench coats, and plenty of tailoring. Many pieces are designed for women, not by imposition, but with their attitude.
Erroz's commitment to sustainability is evident in the eco-conscious materials used in the collection, such as recycled leather waste and polyurethane. The collection is not tied to a specific season but is designed for all seasons, making it a timeless addition to any wardrobe.
Pablo Erroz has moved beyond being called a young designer and is now recognised for his innovative and eclectic designs. His work has also extended to collaborations with contemporary artist Luis Vidal to create exclusive decorative pieces for chic&basic hotels, highlighting his ability to merge fashion with interior design.
Other designers showcasing their work at the event include Love Binetti, Yiorgos Eleftheriades, who presented a collection that is almost vintage with nods to the 80s, and Óscar León, whose collection is made up of unique garments made over a year and is locally produced in Barcelona. The collection by Exodus also features knitted pieces and the transformation of certain sports codes that now adopt a more conceptual, ascetic minimalist, and aesthetic style.
The collection by Sophisticated and Nostalgic features structured patterns through geometries and powerful mixes of matte and shiny textures. It speaks of a personal inner journey towards the outside and features a symphony of blacks and whites where metallic accents stand out.
The fashion event in Barcelona not only showcased the latest collections from these talented designers but also underscored the city's status as a hub for innovative fashion and design. With each new collection, these designers continue to push the boundaries of what fashion can be, offering a glimpse into the future of the industry.
The average fashion enthusiast might find inspiration in Pablo Erroz's harmonious blend of traditional Spanish influences and modern design, extending to fashion-and-beauty items, home-and-garden decor, and even sustainable-living solutions, as he collaborates with contemporary artists to create eco-friendly products. Erroz's innovative approach to fashion, evident in his use of recycled materials and timeless designs, positions him as a leader in the industry, showcasing Barcelona's reputation as a hub for avant-garde fashion and design.
