Outdoor Market Happening in Flingern's All-Weather Swimming Facility this Spring
The Düsseldorf Baths Society hosted a Spring Flea Market at the Allwetterbad Flingern on April 27, offering a unique blend of secondhand goods, antiques, and local charm.
Marco Münzer, a spokesperson from the Events & Marketing department of the Baths Society, was among the attendees, shopping with his son. He noted that the market had a relaxed atmosphere that was perfect for families, with no signs of bad moods in sight.
The market was a treasure trove of items, ranging from backpacks and shoes to plates, cups, jewelry, clothes, and decorative items. Many swimming guests at Flingern Broich even set up their own stalls, adding to the diverse selection.
Staff ensured that the market adhered to regulations, excluding new items. Any found were promptly removed to maintain the market's focus on secondhand goods.
Part of the large pool lawn was reserved as a relaxation oasis, providing visitors with a tranquil space to unwind between browsing sessions. The market was not about making money, according to Marcus Werner, another Baths Society spokesperson, but the joy of rummaging.
The event was well-received by the community. Kaspar Michel, a Flingeraner resident, expressed his appreciation, stating that the market livened up the neighborhood. He was particularly keen on finding a zinc tub and old cutlery.
The market also featured a good food and drink selection, with a DJ playing chill electronic music to set the mood. The event was a testament to the Baths Society's commitment to organizing community events that foster socializing, bargain hunting, and enjoying the spirit of spring renewal.
