The Martin Luther Church is set to host a unique event on September 19, 2025, as it welcomes visitors to an organ concert titled "Peter and the Wolf". This concert, scheduled to start at 5 PM on Friday, promises an extraordinary experience for both music lovers and children.
The organ at the heart of the concert boasts an impressive 60 registers, ready to showcase the different colours of its sound. Actor Clemens Heidrich and organist Elke Voigt will present the concert, with the organ taking on all the musical roles in the performance, mimicking a whole orchestra.
The concert is based on the musical tale "Peter and the Wolf" by Sergei Prokofiev, in an organ arrangement by Heinrich Grimm. Children will have the opportunity to observe and even try out organ pipes up close during the concert.
Admission for the concert is 6 euros, with reduced admission available at 4 euros. A family ticket for the concert is priced at 15 euros. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Martin Luther Square 5 during opening hours and online at www.reservix.de. Alternatively, tickets can also be bought at the venue on the day of the concert.
At the end of the event, brave guests are invited to play their own notes at the console. This interactive element is sure to add an extra layer of excitement to an already captivating concert.
So, mark your calendars for September 19, 2025, and join us at the Martin Luther Church for an unforgettable organ concert experience. It's an event not to be missed!
