Krefeld, Germany - Excitement is building in the city as Alexander Scheuß has been chosen to become the Krefeld children's prince for the upcoming 2025/26 carnival season. The announcement was made during the Rosenmontag parade, where Scheuß expressed his interest in the role.

Although details about Alexander Scheuß and his "jecke career" are scarce, it is known that he will be starting a new chapter in his Carnival journey as the Krefeld children's prince. The term "jecke" is a Rhineland Carnival expression meaning someone deeply involved in Carnival festivities, often associated with the children's prince and princess roles in Krefeld.

Maxime I. Plisz has been designated as Alexander I.'s companion and the Krefeld youth's guide for the same carnival season. This will be the first time both newcomers take on their respective roles in the city's beloved Carnival tradition.

The official proclamation ceremony for Alexander Scheuß and Maxime I. Plisz will take place on November 29th at the parish hall of Herz Jesu, Kneinstraße 64. During this ceremony, the Tollitäten - traditional symbols presented during the official proclamation of the Krefeld children's prince and princess - will be presented to the public.

The Krefeld children's prince and princess guard has already presented the designated Tollitäten to the public this week, signalling the beginning of an exciting countdown to the official ceremony.

Maxime I. Plisz will accompany Alexander I. during the carnival season, making this a memorable experience for both newcomers and the city's residents alike. The 2025/26 carnival season will mark the start of Alexander Scheuß's "jecke career" as the Krefeld children's prince, and it promises to be a celebration filled with fun, laughter, and the rich Carnival traditions that Krefeld is known for.

What kind of lifestyle might Alexander Scheuß and Maxime I. Plisz be preparing for, now that they've been chosen as Krefeld's children's prince and princess for the 2025/26 carnival season? Both could be preparing for a year of outdoor-living, as they engage in home-and-garden activities, such as parades and ceremonies, to celebrate and uphold Krefeld's beloved Carnival traditions.
