Neighborhood initiative invites "Creative Kids" to join in World Children's Day activities, organized by the project group
On Saturday, children from primary school age and above (up to 12 years old) in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, will have the opportunity to make their voices heard during the local elections. This hands-on activity, themed 'Children's Rights - Building Blocks for Democracy', takes place at Hingbergstr. 311, and is part of a nationwide action for World Children's Day on September 20th.
Isa Wojcicki, a pedagogue involved in community projects in Mülheim, has organised the event. The 'Kreativ Kids' (Family Network Heißen / Foster Care Behmenburg) will prepare everything and accompany the participating children. Each child will receive a DIN A4 'building block' template to paint, write on, and decorate, with the aim of creating a banner that will be presented to the press and politics.
Homemade muffins and drinks will be provided during the event, which takes place from 11:30 AM to 2 PM. The goal is to give children from Mülheim a voice during the current local elections, and to encourage them to think about their rights and the role they play in society.
This event is open to all children, and no registration is required. So, if you're a child in Mülheim looking to make a difference, come along and join in the fun! Let's build a brighter future together.
