NABU invites you to their Open-Doors Event

On September 7th, the Nature And Biodiversity Conservation Union (NABU) is hosting an open house event at the Eva-Lorenz Environmental Station/NABU Station located at Pappelallee 20a, Vinhovenschule in Neersen. The event runs from 11 am to 5 pm.

Visitors can explore the new school biological station during the event, offering a unique opportunity to learn about natural gardens. Outdoors, there are consultations on gravel gardens, an hedgehog information stand, a bat and swallow stand, plant options for a donation, a birdhouse sale and information stand, consultations on hornets, a Fairtrade information stand, and a varied children's program.

Indoors, visitors can view the Benjes hedge exhibition and learn about wild bees. A book corner is available for browsing, and a large cake counter offers sweet treats. Jams and homemade products are also available indoors.

The children's program includes creative craft and painting activities, making herbal salt, colourful fingerprint pictures, and a rally around the station. A small café under the columns and Bennos grill sausage stand are available to cater to visitors' physical needs. Apple juice, water, and coffee are also available indoors.

Outside, there's a plant sale where visitors can purchase plants for their own gardens. This event promises to be an enriching experience for both adults and children, providing a chance to learn about nature while enjoying various activities and delicious food. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and support a good cause!
