Mercedes-Maybach Unveils Exclusive S 680 Edition Emerald Isle
The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Edition Emerald Isle, a limited-edition luxury sedan inspired by California’s Central Coast and Monterey Car Week, has been unveiled. Only 25 units of this exclusive model will be available in the U.S., making it a highly coveted collector’s piece.
Powered by a handcrafted 6.0L V12 Biturbo engine producing 621 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, the Edition Emerald Isle boasts a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds while weighing 5,346 lbs. Standard features include Airmatic air suspension, 4Matic all-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission, ensuring exceptional comfort and handling.
The exterior of the S 680 Edition Emerald Isle showcases a unique two-tone MANUFAKTUR paint finish combining Mid Ireland Green Metallic and Moonlight White Metallic, complemented by extensive chrome accents and exclusive 21-inch Maybach Exclusive Champagne Flute Multi-Spoke Forged wheels. The design evokes the Monterey cypress trees and white sand beaches of Pebble Beach, California.
Inside, the cabin features bespoke MANUFAKTUR Light Brown Nappa leather meticulously hand-stitched across seats, doors, consoles, steering wheel, rear seat pillows, and folding tables. The headliner is in MANUFAKTUR Black Nappa leather with a quilted diamond pattern, contrasted by flowing black piano lacquer trim and silver chrome accents. The interior bears unique “Edition Emerald Isle 1 of 25” badging, Maybach floral emblems, embroidered logos on floor and trunk mats, and Maybach-branded door sills.
Luxury features standard on the Edition Emerald Isle include the Executive Rear Seat Package Plus with a four-seat configuration, a rear cabin refrigerator, and Maybach champagne flutes. A signature touch is a custom, hand-poured fragrance for the Air Balance cabin air system, created in collaboration with artisans using cedarwood, cypress, and sea salt notes to evoke the coastal landscape. Each customer will receive a handcrafted MANUFAKTUR leather gift box containing two vehicle keys and an additional fragrance bottle in a sculpted display.
The S 680 Edition Emerald Isle will be available at Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the fall of 2025. Despite the premium price tag expected to be above the standard car’s $240,500, the limited-run Maybach S 680 sedan, named Edition Emerald Isle, will be exclusively available for Mercedes-Maybach customers in the United States.
