Leipzig's Störmthal Lake has been crowned Germany's most popular lake, according to a ranking by online travel agency Tripz. The lake beat out Berlin's Müggelsee and Kulki Lake, which came in second and third respectively. Interestingly, Tripz, the organizer of the ranking, is also an online travel agency.

The ranking, which considered around 100 lakes across Germany, factored in various criteria such as admission fees, Google ratings, and the number of Instagram posts. Lakes with a beach section received an extra point, giving Störmthal Lake an edge. Berlin's Krumme Lanke and Werdersee shared the third spot with Leipzig's Kulki Lake.

Leipzig can now boast having the most popular lakes in Germany, with Störmthal Lake leading the pack. The city's lakes seem to have struck a chord with both locals and tourists, judging by the ranking's criteria.
