Win €100 and an Annual Pass for Schloss Dyck in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss Photography Competition!

Get your cameras ready, folks! The Rhein-Kreis Neuss is hosting a photography competition under the theme "50 Years of Rhein-Kreis Neuss." This competition aims to showcase the transformation of the district over the last five decades, through your eyes.

Photos of special events, milestones, or everyday life from any of the eight communities—Dormagen, Grevenbroich, Juechen, Kaarst, Korschenbroich, Neuss, Meerbusch, or Rommerskirchen—are welcome. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or an amateur with a knack for capturing memorable moments, your shots could end up in the calendar "Homeland Images 2025" and on the district's social media channels.

Landrat Hans-Jüergen Petrauschke, the district's administrative head, says, "We believe there are amazing historical photos of our district hidden away in someone's collection. Our calendar aims to show highlights from the past 50 years, whether it's a local festival or a family outing at the lake."

You can submit up to four photos for the competition, showcasing the changes you've witnessed in the district over the years. To participate, make sure your photos were taken in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss after 1975 and have a clear connection to the land and its people.

Benjamin Josephs, the district's press spokesperson, and Dr. Stefan Schroeder, head of the archives in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, will lead a jury to select the winners, who will be announced in September. Winning entries will receive €100 and an annual pass for Schloss Dyck.

So, whether you're a resident or just a passionate enthusiast, hurry up and submit your photos before the deadline! For more details, including the participation rules, visit https://fotowettbewerb.rhein-kreis-neuss.de/.
