Highlighting World Pride Month: Advocating for and standing by LGBTQ+ coworkers

At Clarivate, a global leader in providing trusted information and analytics, the focus on diversity and inclusion is evident. The company's commitment to valuing every voice and being accountable for actions is reflected in the growth of SPECTRATUM, a colleague resource group dedicated to empowering and engaging the LGBTQ+ community within Clarivate.

SPECTRATUM, which continues to grow both in the United States and globally, has been instrumental in providing a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ colleagues. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, SPECTRATUM's Pride activities will be virtual.

Alexandra Adams, the Global Allies Leader within SPECTRATUM, shares her perspective on supporting LGBTQ+ colleagues during World Pride Month. Adams, who joined Clarivate in 2018 and leads a global HR team for the intellectual property group, encourages anyone with an interest to join SPECTRATUM, whether they are part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally.

Allies are encouraged to be open to listening and to speak up if they see any harmful activity. Jerre Stead, Clarivate's CEO, has been very vocal about supporting diversity and inclusion across the company. Andrea Degutis, Clarivate's Chief HR officer, is an executive sponsor of SPECTRATUM, further demonstrating the company's commitment to this cause.

SPECTRATUM's activities around Pride Month aim to provide a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ colleagues. Colleagues from offices around the world will be involved in SPECTRATUM's virtual Pride activities using electronic tools.

The global leader of SPECTRATUM at Clarivate, who is not part of the LGBTQ+ community but supports allies, is not publicly available. However, SPECTRATUM encourages anyone with an interest to reach out to the global chapter leads or Alexandra Adams.

SPECTRATUM is a global initiative with new chapters springing up across the globe. It's not just for members of the LGBTQ+ community, but also for allies, and everyone has a part to play in creating an inclusive environment. Allies are encouraged to participate in Pride Month, taking place this month, as a great opportunity to show support for the LGBTQ+ community.
