A family-oriented festival is set to take place in Detmold on September 7th, from 1 to 6 pm, in Hangar 21. The event, organised by the city portal, promises a day filled with interactive activities, music, and a variety of exhibitors.

One of the highlights of the festival will be the participation of numerous institutions and organisations, including the VHS & Library, the August-Hermann-Francke-Kita, the Armenian Association Artaschat in OWL, the Marianne-Frostig-Kita, and the Creative Workshops Josi Schoening. The Young Theater Detmold, the Youth café Space, the Detmolder Sportverein von 1860/1956 e.V. - Basketball department, and the Detmold Animal Shelter are also set to attend, ensuring a diverse range of entertainment for all ages.

Cultural exchange will be a significant part of the festival, with the Evangelical Free Church Hohenloh, the Evangelical Free Church Herberhausen, DITIB, the Afghan Cultural Association e.V., and Lippe in Transition joining the lineup. The Courage Initiative, Omas gegen Rechts, the Verbraucherzentrale NRW advisory office Detmold, Team Coordination Integration, the Bürgerstiftung Detmold, Sandokai Detmold e.V., and the Vdk local branch Detmold will also be present, contributing to a day of unity and understanding.

For those arriving by car, nearby parking lots will be available for free. To facilitate travel, the Stadtverkehr Detmold GmbH (SVD) will provide a free bus shuttle service between the train station and the festival grounds, with stops at various locations.

Culinary delights from around the world and drinks at family-friendly prices will be available at the festival, making it a perfect opportunity to taste a variety of cuisines. To add to the festive atmosphere, music will round off the afternoon.

Additionally, a Sunday shopping event will take place in the Hohenloh district between 1 and 6 pm, offering a chance for some retail therapy alongside the festival fun. The Royal Rangers Lippe and the Schach Magie are also part of the event, ensuring a day packed with activities for everyone.

This promises to be a fantastic day out for families and individuals alike, offering a unique blend of culture, entertainment, and community spirit. So, mark your calendars and join us at Hangar 21 on September 7th for a day of fun and celebration!
