Festival Attendees Persist Through Showers at TUHH Summer Celebration
The Technical University (TU) of Hamburg (TUHH) hosted its annual Summer Festival in the neighbourhood around the university, drawing in a crowd of several thousand visitors this year. The event, which took place in a park on Denicke Street and the surrounding area, featured 73 stands and a show stage, showcasing the talents of nine music and dance groups.
The festival kicked off with a warm welcome from TUHH's President, Andreas Timm-Giel. The TU racing car was on display for visitors to admire, while stands offered specialties from India and Africa, beer from Campus Pearl, and information about international offers from NIT and TUTECH.
A highlight of the festival was the TUHH Big Band SwingING, who performed and danced with the audience. The band's lively performance was followed by the Indian Dance Troupe, who captivated the crowd with their Bollywood dances (pictured on the homepage).
Visitors could also participate in a variety of activities, including a cocktail mixing session, a henna tattoo booth, and a wheel of fortune. The band "Skampi" took to the stage in the evening, and the audience couldn't resist joining in the dancing on stage.
The TUHH Summer Festival is not just an event for students and staff, but also for the residents of the neighbourhood. It's a celebration of diversity and community, bringing everyone together for a day of fun and entertainment. With its variety of attractions and performances, the TUHH Summer Festival is a must-visit event for anyone in Hamburg.
