The Akmol region in North Kazakhstan is set to increase its residential housing stock this year, with plans to construct over 300,000 square meters of housing, equivalent to 3,000 apartments.

In the region, 11,000 North Kazakhstan residents will celebrate their housewarming this year, as they move into their new homes. The regional governor, Kumar Aksakalov, announced the housewarming on his social media page.

One of the most significant developments is the new residential building in Besköl, which is the first of its kind in the town. The five-story building, completed this year, will provide homes for 40 families from the Kyzyljar district. Another such residential building is scheduled for construction in Besköl next year.

The new residential building in Besköl is specifically designed for socially vulnerable groups, reflecting the region's commitment to ensuring as many residents as possible become homeowners.

The housing expansion in the Akmol region is not limited to Besköl. In Petropavlovsk, 32 high-rise buildings are currently under construction, adding to the 10 already under development in the region.

As part of its ambitious yet achievable goals, the region aims to construct around 400,000 square meters next year, which would support the commissioning of over 1,700 apartments.

In addition, seven high-rise buildings for socially vulnerable groups have already been built in the Akmol region, demonstrating the region's commitment to inclusive housing development.

Almaty.tv reported the housewarming event, highlighting the ongoing efforts to address the growing housing demand in the region. For more detailed or updated statistics, contacting Kazakhstan's Akmol regional administration or the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development could provide the latest construction and housing targets.
