Exposition of Ulttyq ONIM: 350 Kazakhstani manufacturers showcased their wares in Astana
The 8th annual Ulttyq ónim exhibition, a showcase of Kazakhstan's domestic producers, commenced on May 16 at the International Exhibition Center EXPO in Astana. The event, which runs until May 18, 2025, featured over 350 companies from all regions of Kazakhstan, presenting thousands of product types spanning multiple industries [1][2][4].
This year's focus was on showcasing Kazakhstan-made goods and entrepreneurship. The exhibition served as a prominent platform for local producers to present their high-quality products to the public and potential buyers. Among the participants was LLP "Production Complex Aurora", a manufacturer of disinfecting and cleaning agents that has been operating for 15 years [3].
LPP "Production Complex Aurora" offers a wide range of products, including over 40 types of cosmetic products, 55 items of household chemicals, and more than 80 disinfecting products [4]. Some of their best-selling items include dishwashing detergents, liquid soap, household glass, kitchen, and laundry cleaning products. Recently, the company has expanded its product line to include aroma diffusers for homes and offices, and a wide range of children's products under the Booboo brand [4].
The state has announced an open tender for investment projects of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in priority areas such as information technology, logistics, tourism, food production, construction materials, machinery, light, and chemical industries. These areas will receive comprehensive support [5].
Serik Zhumaniyazov, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, officially opened the exhibition and highlighted the growth and success of domestic producers. He mentioned that they are strengthening their positions domestically, expanding into exports, and becoming recognizable brands abroad [2].
The exhibition featured products from various sectors, including food, light industry, chemical industry, machinery, equipment, and jewelry. Popular items included kitchen stoves, medical equipment, transformers, suitcases, textiles, building materials, antiseptics, clothing, footwear, and various others [6].
The participants in the exhibition are receiving financial and other forms of support from the Fund "Damu", the country's key financial institution for supporting small and medium-sized businesses [7]. This year, the state has set a course for the rapid development of the real sector of the economy, and Serik Zhumaniyazov announced that state support for SMEs will increase in 2025 [8].
The Ulttyq ónim exhibition is a testament to the development of domestic entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan and the growing recognition of Kazakhstan-made products both domestically and abroad.
