Enthused Families Fill Swedensstrasse Playground Festival in Rheinfelden
The 17th Spielplatzfest in Rheinfelden-Oberrheinfelden, held on July 20, 2025, at the playground on Schwedenstraße, was a resounding success, attracting approximately 400 guests under sunny weather conditions. Organised by Quartiersarbeit Rheinfelden and the Netzwerk IG Spielplatz, the family-friendly occasion offered a diverse program that catered to both children and adults.
The day began with an opening performance by the dance group of the cultural association Rosinka, setting a lively and festive tone for the event. Bürgermeisterin Kristin Fuchs then honoured engaged students from the Gemeinschaftsschule for their voluntary support with playground cleaning efforts.
Entertainment was plentiful, with a magic show by Clown Pat, face painting, a bouncy castle, and rickshaw rides providing plenty of amusement. A student environmental project was also a key feature, educating attendees about the importance of sustainability.
One of the most unique highlights of the event, however, was the search for glow-in-the-dark meteorites. Children were invited to dig for these glowing treasures in a specially prepared sandpit, adding a touch of excitement and wonder to the day.
