Effortless methods to style your hair this summer, without resorting to heat styling tools!

Summer is here, and it's time to update your hairstyle game for the warmer months. Here are five simple, everyday styles that are perfect for various occasions.

  1. The Circle Clip This versatile hairstyle is ideal for days when you don't want to spend too much time on your hair. Suitable for dinner out, running errands, or even a casual day at the office. To create the Circle Clip, tease and texture two sections of your hair, create a mini ponytail, topsy tail the ponytail, pull strands down around your face, and secure it with a circle clip.
  2. Side Braid with a Cap (or not) This style is perfect for those lazy, sunny days. It's great for dirty-hair days, pool days, playing in the park, or even baseball games. To achieve this look, tease and texture your hair, braid it, add volume to the braid, hide the clear elastic, and optionally wear a ball cap on top.
  3. Low Bun with a Bandana This style is a lifesaver on those days when your hair needs a little pick-me-up. It's suitable for dirty-hair days, running errands, hanging out with friends and family, and even the Fourth of July. To create the Low Bun with a Bandana, lightly tease and texture your hair, pull all of your hair back into a ponytail at the nape of your neck, secure with a ponytail holder but leave a small bun and a generous amount of your ends out, shape your bun with bobby pins, and tighten + loosen the ponytail holder a few times to give it an undone look.
  4. Undone Top Knot This style is a go-to for everyday wear. To create the Undone Top Knot, lightly tease and texture your hair, focusing on the hair at the front/top of your head, gather your hair into a ponytail using your fingers or a wide tooth comb, secure with a ponytail holder but leave a small bun and a generous amount of your ends out, grab those ends, pull them around to the opposite side of your bun, tuck them into your ponytail holder, use bobby pins to shape your bun and pin it a little closer to your head, tighten + loosen the ponytail holder a few times to give it an undone look, and pull on a few pieces around the crown of your head to add volume.
  5. The Circle Clip Yes, we've mentioned this style earlier, but it's worth repeating. The Circle Clip is a great option for days when you want a chic, effortless look. To recap, tease and texture two sections of hair, create a mini ponytail, topsy tail the ponytail, pull strands down around your face, and secure it with a circle clip.

Remember, when creating these styles, using a teasing comb and texture spray can help keep your hair in place without the need for hairspray. Also, creating staying power for your hair before styling it is more effective than fixing it first and then applying hairspray. Just avoid over-teasing to prevent an 80's style look. Enjoy your summer with these easy, stylish hairstyles!
