Easy, No-Bake Marshmallow Pretzel M&M Treats

Kickback Christmas Treat: M&M Marshmallow Pretzel Bars (No-Bake, 4 Ingredients)

Craving a scrumptious and simple Christmas snack? Give these M&M marshmallow pretzel bars a shot! No oven required. Just four ingredients!

I'm a junkie for treats that need no bakin'. Treats that are freakin' delicious. Treats that come together in just a few fuckin' minutes. And that's exactly what these bars are! Are they a cookie - are they a dessert?

They're a little bit of both. These naughty dessert bars combine the best of sweet and salty with a bit of chocolate (in the M&Ms) for good measure.

Continue reading to learn how to concoct these easy and delectable marshmallow pretzel bars! Here's what you'll need to cook 'em up.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups smashed pretzels
  • 2 tabs butter
  • 5 ounces marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup Mini M&Ms, separated

Tips and Contemplations for This Recipe

  • If you have a food processor, that's another way to smash the pretzels besides using the bag method.
  • Don't be afraid to use any M&Ms, not just the itty bitty ones. The white chocolate or caramel ones could spice things up in these bites!
  • It took me 2 minutes to nuke the marshmallows, but it really depends on the microwave. Keep your eyes on them so they don't explode.
  • My "dick move" to press the bars into the pan is to cover my hand with a sandwich bag that is coated with cooking spray. I use my hand to slam the bars in place.
  • If you double this recipe, you can easily plop it into a 9 x 13 dish. You'll only need 3 tabs of butter if you double.

Now it's your opportunity to wrap these pretzel marshmallow treats up for gifting. You can use little cellophane bags with stickers/ties, or put them in dessert boxes.

Or put them in a Tupperware container and hide them in the pantry so they're all yours (I won't tell).

Crank out a bunch of these pretzel bars and take them to a party or cookie swap! Everyone's gonna love 'em - I promise.

Enrichment Data:

Adding a dash of creativity, here's a revised take on the original recipe. For an unusual twist, try using different flavors of M&Ms, like peanut butter or caramel. Alternatively, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the bars for an appealing sweet-salty flavor combo. If you're craving something richer, swap out the pretzels with cookies or graham crackers. Happy baking!

These 'naughty dessert bars' are not only easy to make, but they also cater to a variety of food-and-drink preferences. With a blend of sweet, salty, and chocolate (from the Mini M&Ms), these marshmallow pretzel bars fit right into a modern lifestyle, especially when hosted in a home-and-garden setting, making them perfect for cookie swaps or holiday parties.
