As the design landscape evolves, so too does the world of bathroom vanities. In 2025, outdated colors are being replaced with fresh, inviting options that add personality and warmth to this essential space.
High-gloss white, once a staple in many bathrooms, is becoming outdated, feeling cold and one-note as the trend shifts towards warmer, more textured designs. Light blue, once a popular choice, is now considered predictable and overdone. Gray and gray-toned woods, once favored for their neutrality, have become overused and feel less fresh in modern schemes.

Floating vanity designs emphasizing sleek profiles and customization allow homeowners to combine practical storage with stylish color and material choices. Less obvious elements like a statement stone or a textural finish are more impactful alternatives to light blue in a bathroom.
Designers are also advocating for unique details, patterns, finishes, and textures to breathe new life into bathroom vanity designs. Intermixing colored limewash paint finishes, quartz counters, and alluring door pulls can add interest and character.
The design of bathrooms has shifted towards a more considered, lived-in, and warm look. Matte finishes and tactile materials are favored, moving away from the cold, clinical feel of high-gloss surfaces.
