Last year, the central library saw a staggering 1.25 million visitors, a whopping double compared to the previous location, city records show. With 5,734 guests on December 27th, it was the busiest day in the library's history.

The library also received the Auggie Award in the "Best Consumer App" category for the "Düsseldorf City Libraries App" in June 2023, as part of the large state-funded project "Zentralbibliothek KAP1 - the new library.
