Join the vibrant, eco-friendly crowd every month in Savona as we bring the Critical Mass to town! Our goal? To promote sustainable living and take a stand for Mother Nature—all while cruising around on two wheels!
Last Friday, about 300 biking enthusiasts swooped into the city center, setting the scene for an exciting ride. The idea behind Critical Mass: we gather, pedal our way through the city streets, and prove that sustainable transportation has its charm!
What's the scoop with this unique event? The Critical Mass was born in San Fran way back in '92 as a protest against car-centric urban planning and a call to arms for cycling rights. Since then, it's grown into a global movement, with cities worldwide joining the ride (literally) for better urban mobility.
Savona is no exception. Recently, our bike-loving community decided to bring the gatherings to our very own city, soaring down the streets with unabashed enthusiasm. On this particular Friday, folks met up on the Prolungamento before cruising towards the heart of the city and settling at the cycle workshop.
The beauty of Critical Mass lies in its spontaneity. Participants gather together with something tasty to share during the final celebratory picnic. Whether you're into cycling or simply adore the outdoors, this event is open to all! Skaters, rollerbladers, scooter enthusiasts, and pedestrians are all welcome—the more, the merrier!

Keep in mind that variable traffic conditions and psychogeography can influence our chosen course, but that's all part of the adventure!
