Create the desired soundscape of Haller
The Hallertau region, renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and hop farming expertise, is set to embark on a digital transformation with the launch of "The Digital Hallertau Experience" project.
Backed by the Leader programme, this exciting initiative aims to present the region's unique offerings in a modern, digital manner. The project's goal is to make the culture, history, and hop expertise of the Hallertau region audible through digital audio tours.
The kick-off event for this project took place at the German Hops Museum in Wolnzach, with project partners from the four participating districts – Pfaffenhofen, Freising, Kelheim, and Landshut – in attendance, along with representatives of Local Action Groups.
The digital audio tours will provide visitors with a unique and immersive way to learn about the Hallertau region. They will be accessible through a mobile app and will feature stories and information about various aspects of the region, including its history, culture, and hop farming.
In a move to cater to a diverse audience, the digital audio tours will be available in multiple languages. Starting next year, these tours will be made available in several municipalities within the Hallertau region.
The digital audio tours are expected to enhance visitor experiences, offering a fresh and engaging approach to exploring the region's heritage. Given the typical timeline for similar projects, it is anticipated that the digital audio tours will be available within 1-2 years from project initiation.
For the most accurate and up-to-date details on the participants and the launch timeline for "The Digital Hallertau Experience," we recommend consulting official Leader program announcements or the Hallertau regional tourism or government websites.
