Competition "Dostoyanie Srednego Urala-2025" kicks off, allowing individuals to select their own, their family, and their spiritual companions via a public vote.

The Middle Urals Treasure contest is set to return for its fourth edition in Sverdlovsk Oblast, with the aim of recognizing and increasing the prestige of geographical, collective, organizational, and traditional events in the region.

Voting for this prestigious contest traditionally starts on August 1 on the reverse feedback platform of the Gosuslugi portal. Residents of Sverdlovsk can cast their votes for five objects out of the 15 nominees. These objects can encompass geographical and natural wonders, historical events, scientific and technological achievements, culture, music, sports, and more.

This year's shortlist includes a diverse range of nominees, such as "Artyinskaya Kosa", "Beloyarskaya Nuclear Power Plant", "Verkh-Neyvinsky Lожкари - Folk Instruments Ensemble", "Blue Mountain (Kusha) - A Picturesque Spot", "Historical Garden in Yekaterinburg", "Chernyi Tulyapan Memorial", "Museum of Spy Nikolai Kuznetsov in Talitsa", "Nizhnetagilsky Podnosny Promysel", "Monument to Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov", "Fairy Tale Park", "Sverdlovsk Railway", "Sports Complex "Dinamo"", "Ural Volunteer Tank Corps", "Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin", and "Ural Pelmeni - Creative Association".

The awarding of the five winners with the most votes will take place on January 17, 2026, which is the birthday of Sverdlovsk Oblast. The "Middle Urals Treasure" contest can award the honorary status of public recognition to objects that define the uniqueness and distinctiveness of the region.

The Public Chamber Council has approved a voting shortlist for the contest. In 2025, 110 applications were submitted for participation in the Middle Urals Treasure contest. The "Regional Newspaper" is an information partner for the contest and will provide more details about the nominees in upcoming issues.

However, as of now, there is no publicly available information about the 2025 nominees for this contest in Sverdlovsk Oblast. If you're interested, I can help you look for official local cultural or government websites that might later publish the nominees.

Voting for the contest will last until December 1, 2025. So, mark your calendars and get ready to show your support for the objects that you believe truly embody the spirit of the Middle Urals!
