Charles Sheets, named here
Charles E. Sheets, a dedicated auditor with the General Accounting Office who retired after more than three decades of service, passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born on November 24, 1932, in Keosauqua, Iowa, Charles led a life marked by commitment and service. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict, and later attended East High School and the University of Denver, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Charles found love with Shirley Anne Johnson, whom he married on June 18, 1994. The couple shared a deep bond, and Charles is survived by his wife, as well as his sister Linda (Larry), sisters-in-law Beverly and Heather, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and cousins.
Charles was a man of faith, and his commitment to the Church was evident. He served on several committees and was a dedicated volunteer. In keeping with his religious beliefs, those who wish to honour his memory can make donations to the South Suburban Christian Church.
Flowers, trees, and meals can be sent to honour Charles' life. His funeral arrangements have not been publicly announced, but a memorial service will be held at the South Suburban Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can also be made to the church in memory of Charles.
Charles E. Sheets will be remembered for his dedication, service, and faith. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched.
