Esther Þorvaldsdóttir, an founder of Rights for Refugee Children, a local organization established in Iceland in 2019, shares her thoughts on the initiative. "Our focus is on ensuring that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is respected by all Icelandic institutions." However, she laments that despite the agreement to comply with the convention, children’s rights are still being neglected.
