Canine Hiking Event Takes Place at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument
The Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is excited to announce the return of the Bark in the Park! hikes, a unique opportunity for dog owners and their furry friends to embark on a ranger-led adventure through the monument's scenic trails.
Beginning on the third Saturday of each month through October, the Bark in the Park! hikes will take place at the Quarai Unit, located at 122 Manzano Quarai Rd, Mountainair, NM. The hikes commence at 9:30 AM, with the next confirmed date being July 19, 2025.
The Bark in the Park! hikes are designed to allow attendees to enjoy the trails while learning about responsible pet ownership in national parks. These hikes offer a special bonding experience for dogs and their owners, promoting an inclusive outdoor experience that highlights the natural beauty and cultural significance of the monument.
