Bucharest's Mini Art Fair Revives: Second Installment Spotlights Artworks on Paper
The Smallest Art Fair in Town (SAT) is gearing up for its second edition, taking place from July 3 to July 6 at the Salon de Papier venue. This intimate, focused art fair is known for showcasing emerging and mid-career artists alongside innovative galleries in a compact setting.
For this year's event, the fair will be guided by the theme of Interrupted Realities, which aims to reflect the discontinuous complexity of our current reality. The artworks presented will discuss the fractured reality of the times, moving away from a stable truth or well-constructed illusion, and instead focusing on accelerated flows of contradictory data, images, and signals.
The fair will feature a limited number of carefully curated galleries and artists, including Gaep, H'Art, Jecza, Lutniţa, Mobius, Plan B, Sector 1, and Suprainfinit. Some of the artists whose works will be included are Răzvan Anton, Marius Bercea, Alex Bodea, Michele Bressan, Giles Eldridge, Arantxa Etcheverria, Alina Feneș, Andrei Gamarț, Christian Jankowski, Mircea Ionescu, Alex Mirutziu, Ciprian Mureșan, Giuliano Nardin, Damir Očko, Daniel Roșca, Roman Tolici, Oana Ursa, Mark Verlan, and Bogdan Vlăduță.
Christian Jankowski's Exhibition Review II is featured in the opening photo of SAT's second edition. The fair offers an "open framework for exploring contemporary art" to both beginners and experienced collectors.
Since specific information about the participating artists and galleries, as well as the theme, is typically published by the fair's organizers closer to or after the event, we recommend checking the official Smallest Art Fair in Town website or contacting the organizers directly for the most accurate and comprehensive information.
We live in a regime of infocracy, a system dominated by the abundance of information. The artistic act at SAT's second edition is a means to reconnect with perception and reflection, offering a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary art in an intimate and focused setting.
