In the heart of Saxony, nestled near Dresden, lies the historic town of Radeberg, home to the renowned Radeberger Brewery. Established in 1872, this traditional brewery has been a solid economic force in the region for over a century and a half.

The brewery, famous for its flagship beer, Radeberger Pilsner, has a significant history in the production of Pilsner. It was in the historic council chamber of the Radeberg town hall that the first Pilsner was tasted way back in August 1873. This tradition continued recently, as a ceremony honouring the brewers took place in the same hallowed halls.

On a Friday, the brewery was honoured with a prestigious award by the World Beer Awards. Their Radeberger Pilsner received a silver medal in the World's Best Bock category. While the exact presenter of the award remains unspecified, the International Chamber of Commerce Dresden (IHK Dresden) expressed their appreciation for the brewery's achievement.

The Radeberger Brewery was not only recognised for its exceptional beer but also for its long history. The brewers were honoured for their 150-year commitment to the art of Saxon brewing. This commitment extends beyond the production of top-quality beer, as the brewery also trains new, motivated specialists to carry on the traditional brewing methods.

Today, the brewery secures over 250 jobs in the region and continues to be an export brewery. Radeberger Pilsner is one of the top 5 German premium beers, a testament to the brewery's unwavering dedication to quality and tradition.

As the brewery looks towards the future, it continues to embody the Saxon brewing art, ensuring that the taste of Radeberg's first Pilsner lives on in every bottle of Radeberger Pilsner brewed exclusively in Radeberg since 1873.
