Beef showcased at Jo Co Fair on Thursday
Get ready for an unforgettable week as the 2025 Johnson County Fair in Gardner, Kansas, prepares to take centre stage from July 27 to August 2. This annual event promises a full spectrum of entertainment, from livestock shows and dog shows to rodeos and parades.
Kick off the fair on Saturday, July 26 with the thrilling Demolition Derby in the Main Event Arena at 7:00 PM.
The festivities officially begin on Sunday, July 27, with the ARBA Rabbit Show at 8:00 AM, followed by the Dog Show Check-in at 4:00 PM, Showmanship and Obedience at 4:30 PM, all in the Livestock Pavilion.
Monday, July 28 is a day packed with events. Dog Show Rally O takes place at 1:30 PM, followed by Dog Show Agility at 4:00 PM. Vet Checks for stalled horses will take place from 4:30-5:30 PM. The day also includes 4-H Foods Judging from 2:00-7:00 PM, the Rodeo Queen and Princess Coronation at 6:00 PM, and Timed Event Horse Classes judged at 6:15 PM, all in the Main Event Arena.
The 2025 Johnson County Fair Parade will happen on Saturday, August 2, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM CDT, with the theme "Follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Johnson County Fair".

Please note that there is another Johnson County Fair scheduled in Iowa City, Iowa, from July 19-23, 2025, but it is separate from this Kansas fair.
On Thursday, the fair will host the Beef Show in the Show Ring, the Poultry Show in the Block Barn, Rodeo Slack in the Main Arena, and the Saddle Tramps Band performance. The day will conclude with a movie sponsored by the Junior Leaders.
Friday is designated as Youth Rodeo Day at the fair, with the Youth Rodeo taking place in the Main Arena. The 4-H/FFA Round Robin will take place in the Show Ring on this day. The Pie Contest is also scheduled for Friday.
Rodeo events are planned for both Saturday and Sunday, but specific details for Sunday's events are not yet available.
