Art enthusiasts in Hamburg can indulge in diverse, budget-friendly art collections at the Affordable Art Fair.
The Affordable Art Fair, a renowned global art event, is set to make its mark in three new locations in 2023 and 2024. Founded by Will Ramsey, the fair will debut in Hamburg, Germany, in November 2023, followed by Berlin and Shanghai in April 2024.
In Hamburg, the fair will take place from November 9 to 12, 2023, and will feature works by contemporary artists in painting and photography. Art enthusiasts can expect to find artworks priced between 100 and 10,000 euros. Participating galleries include Post Modern Collection from the Netherlands, T&B Gallery from South Korea, and Uhlig Gallery from Germany, among others.
The Affordable Art Fair in Hamburg will also present works by 85 galleries from 17 countries. Notable artists to look forward to include newcomers like Timo von Eicken, Christoph Rode, and Josephine Sagna, as well as art legends such as Gerhard Richter, Rosemarie Trockel, Günther Uecker, David Hockney, and Tony Cragg.
The fair in Hamburg is also supported by Hamburg's Cultural Authority, which is funding 9 international artists, and the Elbkulturfonds 2024, which is providing funding for 7 projects in the city. One of the projects receiving funding is the Photopia: Photo and Videography Festival, focusing on AI.
The Affordable Art Fair's expansion doesn't stop there. The fair is also planning a location in Shanghai in 2024. Ramsey Fairs, the operator of the Affordable Art Fair, claims to be one of the world's largest art fair companies, with 21 international venues.
In addition to Hamburg, the Affordable Art Fair is also making its debut in Berlin from April 12 to 14, 2024. The fair in Berlin will follow a similar format, featuring works by contemporary artists and a wide range of galleries from around the world.
