A draft motion from the Green citizens' faction has been submitted to the Senate, asking for a concept to be drafted for this monumental event.

Interestingly enough, Bremen hasn't hosted a Federal Garden Show before. A bid for the 2001 show was dropped in 1995 due to disagreements within the Senate. Most recently, the CDU proposed an application for the Federal Garden Show during the state election campaign in 2023.
